|Name of individual, corporation or entity||Mike Leppke|
|Date of violation||February 22, 2020|
|Section of the Act||477.59(7)|
|AMP total amount||$300|
|Issued by||Deputy Commissioner|
Key facts of violation
As the official agent for Trevor Wowk, a People's Party of Canada candidate in the electoral district of Regina––Lewvan during the 43rd federal general election, Mike Leppke was required, by virtue of subsection 477.59(7) of the Act, to provide the Candidate's Electoral Campaign Return and the required documents (Return) to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), within four months after polling day.
The deadline to submit the Return was February 21, 2020, however it was provided to the CEO on May 5, 2021, 438 days after the deadline.
There are therefore reasonable grounds to believe that Mike Leppke failed to provide the Return within four months of polling day, as required by subsection 477.59(7).
