As the candidate for the People’s Party of Canada in the electoral district of Charlesbourg–Haute-Saint-Charles in the 43rd federal general election held on October 21, 2019, Joey Pronovost was required, under section 477.42 of the Canada Elections Act (the Act), to appoint a replacement without delay following the resignation of his official agent on December 20, 2019.

Elections Canada records confirm that as of January 30, 2023, no replacement official agent had been appointed.
