Key facts of violation
As the financial agent for Terry Lake, a Liberal Party of Canada contestant in the electoral district of Kamloops--Thompson--Cariboo during the 2019 nomination campaign, Bradley Bostock was required, by virtue of subsection 476.75(7) of the Act, to file the Nomination Contestant's Campaign Return (Return), and provide the required documents within four months after the selection date. The deadline to submit the Return was September 23, 2019.
Elections Canada has confirmed that the Return was submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer on December 3, 2021, 802 days after the deadline.
There are therefore reasonable grounds to believe that Bradley Bostock failed to provide the Return within four months after the selection date, as required by subsection 476.75(7).
