As the official agent for the electoral campaign of Bryton Cherrier, a People's Party of Canada candidate in the electoral district of Pitt Meadows--Maple Ridge during the 43rd federal general election held on October 21, 2019, Farron Vaughan was required, under subsection 477.59(1) of the Act, to provide the Candidate's Electoral Campaign Return (Return) to the Chief Electoral Officer, outlining the financing and expenses for the candidate's electoral campaign. The deadline to submit the Return and required documents was February 21, 2020.

As of January 10, 2022, Elections Canada's records show that the Return has still not been submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer.

There are therefore reasonable grounds to believe that Farron Vaughan is in violation of the requirement to provide the Return, as required by subsection 477.59(1) of the Act.
