Key facts of violation
As the financial agent for Tammy Cook-Searson, a Liberal Party of Canada contestant in the electoral district of Desnethé–Missinippi–Churchill River, during the 2019 nomination contest, Tina Anne Pelletier was required, by virtue of subsection 476.75(7) of the Act, to file the Nomination Contestant's Campaign Return (Return), within four months after the selection date. The deadline to submit the Return was August 30, 2019.
Elections Canada has confirmed that the Return was submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer on February 24, 2021, 543 days after the deadline. There are therefore reasonable grounds to believe that Tina Anne Pelletier failed to provide the Return within four months after the selection date, as required by subsection 476.75(7).
