Accused: Robert Cameron of Keswick, Ontario
Facts: On December 21, 2017, a charge was sworn under the Canada Elections Act in the Provincial Court of Ontario. The charge resulted from an investigation into events that took place between the 21st and 27th of June, 2016.
Offence: Robert Cameron was charged with:
  • providing the Chief Electoral Officer, on behalf of the United Party of Canada, with information under subsection 407(2) of the Canada Elections Act that he knew was false or misleading.
Plea: On April 23, 2018, Robert Cameron pleaded guilty to this charge
Sentence: 28 days conditional sentence (house arrest)
