That Cameron Hastings, a candidate for the Green Party of Canada, between March 26, 2011 and October 3, 2011, at or near the Town of Richmond Hill, Ontario, circumvented the statutory contribution limit of $2100 by paying for expenses in relation to his electoral campaign for the general election of May 2, 2011 out of his own funds, contrary to paragraph 405.2(1)(a) of the Canada Elections Act, S.C. 2000, c. 9, as amended, thereby committing an offence contrary to paragraph 497(1)(i.4) of the Canada Elections Act.
