Charge no. 1

On or about October 19, 2015, Ghislain Giroux, in the municipality of Richmond, in the judicial district of Saint-François, applied for a ballot in a name that was not his own, contrary to paragraph 167(1)(a) of the Canada Elections Act, thereby committing an offence punishable by way of summary conviction under subsection 489(3)(e) and punishable by paragraph 500(5)(a) of the Act.

Charge no. 2

On or about October 19, 2015, Ghislain Giroux, in the municipality of Richmond, in the judicial district of Saint-François, knowingly had a ballot in his possession for which he was not authorized, contrary to paragraph 167(1)(d) of the Canada Elections Act, thereby committing an offence punishable by way of summary conviction under subsection 489(3)(e) and punishable by paragraph 500(5)(a) of the Act.

Charge no. 3

Between May 4, 2017 and August 1st, 2017, Ghislain Giroux, in the municipality of Richmond, in the judicial district of Saint-François, obstructed the Commissioner of Canada Elections and/or the persons acting under his direction, thereby committing an offence punishable by way of summary conviction under section 482.1 and punishable by paragraph 500(5)(a) of the Act.
