Accused: Paul Gallardo of Brampton, Ontario
Facts: Being the official agent of Wajid Khan, a candidate in the 40th general election held on October 14, 2008, did fail to comply with a requirement of the Chief Electoral Officer in a letter dated December 29, 2010, to provide additional documents set out in a list attached to the said letter, under subsection 451(2.2) of the Canada Elections Act, S.C. 2000 c.9 as amended; and did thereby commit an offence contrary to paragraph 497(1)(u.1) and subsection 500(1) of the Canada Elections Act, S.C. 2000, c.9 as amended.
Offence: Paul Gallardo pled guilty to contravening paragraph 497(1)(u.1) of the Canada Elections Act.
Sentencing Date: June 5, 2013
Sentence: A plea of guilty was entered by the accused.

The court imposed the following sentence: The accused is to pay a $400.00 fine and has been ordered, within 180 days, to submit to the Chief Electoral Officer all the outstanding information and documentation as required by Elections Canada and listed in Appendix "A" to the order, if they exist and are in his possession.
