Final Disposition at Trial – May 20, 2016

Accused: David Del Mastro of Mississauga, Ontario
Facts: On October 2, 2014, two Canada Elections Act charges were sworn in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. The charges were related to an investigation into events that took place during the 40th general election in 2008.
Charges: David Del Mastro was charged with:
  • knowingly concealing or attempting to conceal the identity of the source of a contribution; and
  • knowingly circumventing the campaign contribution limit for an individual donor.
Court decision: The Ontario Court of Justice found David Del Mastro not guilty on both counts.
